Lymphatic Therapy
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, hands-on technique that helps encourage lymph flow and reduce fluid buildup that can lead to swelling (edema), tightness, and discomfort. At Beyond Compression, certified MLD sessions are personalized to your needs and combine skilled treatment, progress tracking, and education to help you get meaningful, measurable relief.
Lymphatic Therapy Services We Offer
All treatments are delivered by Certified Lymphatic Therapists with backgrounds in occupational, physical, and massage therapy. Your care is individualized and based on the latest research and clinical standards.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
A gentle, skin-on-skin technique performed by a trained clinician to promote lymph movement and support edema reduction.
Compression Garment Fitting
We measure and fit affected limbs to determine appropriate size and compression level for custom or over-the-counter compression stockings and garments.
Compression Bandaging
Short-stretch compression bandages are applied to the affected limb using specific techniques to help reduce edema and improve skin integrity.
Lymphatic Exercise
Because muscle movement plays a key role in lymphatic function, specific exercises may be recommended to help promote fluid movement as part of care.
What to expect during and after treatment
For best and more immediate results, a minimum of 3–5 sessions within the first 2–3 weeks is recommended. If your edema has been stagnant or hasn’t been treated previously, additional sessions may be recommended.

-
Drink water before your session to stay hydrated.
-
Wear minimal or loose-fitting clothing (MLD is most effective with skin-on-skin contact).
